Carved from the site of two former Carolina rice plantations from which the ruins of one is still visible from the 5th hole, Willbrook Plantation winds its way through a forest of century-old oaks and beautiful lakes. Touted by Dan Maples as "one of my best", this course has everything; sand, marsh, water, trees, bunkers, waste bunkers, boards and great greens. Markers along the course signify some historic elements such as a slave cemetery near the 8th hole, along with a slave settlement near the 4th hole where 149 slaves were quartered; all reminders of bygone era. Awarded 4 ½ stars by Golf Digest and listed as one of "America's 50 Best Women Friendly Courses" by Golf for Women, Willbrook Plantation delivers a memorable round for all.
